Director, Sales & Marketing

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans aimed at driving business growth and achieving occupancy goals. This role will involve overseeing all marketing efforts, leveraging networking, marketing, and social media to enhance the organization’s visibility and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies, brand plans, and social media campaigns that align with our organization's vision and mission.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and executive team to craft and execute a compelling brand strategy.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Oversee daily and weekly sales activities to ensure targets are met.
- Manage the marketing and sales budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Sales and Marketing team.
Sales:
- Design and execute effective sales programs to achieve and exceed occupancy targets.
- Conduct engaging client tours and follow up on leads to drive conversions.
- Ensure all promotional materials align with company standards and enhance our brand.
- Develop and monitor budgets and expenses, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for residents and their families.
- Coordinate with other departments for efficient move-ins, transfers, and move-outs.
- Complete required reports accurately and on time.
Marketing and Community Relations:
- Identify and leverage advertising opportunities, community events, and social media platforms in partnership with advertising agencies.
- Actively participate in community outreach both online and in-person.
- Develop and manage high-quality marketing materials and promotional items.
- Plan, budget, and coordinate marketing events to attract new prospects and build relationships.
- Support digital initiatives to enhance our online presence and brand visibility.
- Maintain consistent application of brand standards across all marketing efforts.
Competitive Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends and their implications for our organization.
- Monitor local competition, including rates and services, and provide strategic insights on occupancy and pricing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Director of Sales and Marketing role, preferably within a high-end hospitality / senior living.
- Proven proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with corporate partners, key business stakeholders, and senior clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working Condition:
Some travel may be required
Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday or evenings.
